DST to host big data analytics seminar
Distributor and vendor partner SAS to address channel partner on the power of data
Newly formed distributor of analytics solutions Data Science Technologies (DST), has announced that it will hold a big data analytics event for customers and channel partners on 18th March, 2014 at The Westin Mina Seyahi Hotel in Dubai.
The event, dubbed "The Big Data Analytics Power Lunch" is a joint effort by DST and SAS to offer customers and channel partners in the UAE complete insight into harnessing their structured and unstructured data.
"As data volumes grow exponentially, organisations need to know how to harness this data to find valuable and quick insight to gain a competitive advantage. Big data analytics is the key to unlocking the value of huge volumes of structured and unstructured data that can help companies make better decisions, take smarter actions and operate more efficiently," said Boby Joseph, Data Practice - head, DST.
"We are pleased to announce our first event for customers and channel partners where we can take them through the big data life cycle, share success stories, demonstrate how SAS Visual Analytics with the right tools and services can add value to their business and existing data and share the solutions and services that DST can offer. Our objective is to educate customers on the benefits of big data analytics and introduce SAS's product offerings in analytics for SMEs to our channel partner community in UAE," Joseph added.
Carel Badenhorst, Head Technology Practice - Middle East, Africa and Pakistan at SAS will present a session on big data life cycle, focusing on data visualisation and other aspects.
