West: Companies can speed up their data management by using CommVault software together with solutions based on SAP HANA

CommVault announced today that its Simpana 10 back-up and recovery software has been certified for integration with the SAP HANA platform.

SAP's in-memory HANA platform is being used by enterprises to provide streamlined analytics and predictive assessments. The Simpana 10 integration will provide HANA customers with back-up and recovery for HANA environments.

CommVault said that this would help organisations ensure data availability at "massive" scale, and allow them to manage, protect and recover large volumes of transactional and analytical data.

"CommVault continues to enable enterprises to increase the business value of their information as a result of our investments in solutions for SAP HANA and our relationship with SAP as a member of the SAP PartnerEdge programme for application development," said David West, senior vice president, worldwide marketing and business development, CommVault.

"Companies can speed up their data management by using CommVault software together with solutions based on SAP HANA."

CommVault said that Simpana 10 would provide simpler administration through integration with HANA studio, as well as policy-based automation. It would also provide a simplified, end-to-end back-up for large-scale, single-node and multi-node HANA environments, the vendor added.
