Lenovo wins EMEA Channel Academy award for PCs

More than 300 executives from distributors, retailers and e-tailers voted

Lenovo, the world's number one PC vendor by shipments, recently won the Vendor of the Year award at the EMEA Channel Academy: 2014 Awards, oraganised by DISTREE EMEA in Monaco.

More than 300 executives of EMEA's IT volume distributors, retailers and e-tailers used a live electronic voting system to select their preferred vendor in each category, assessing brands on the strength and effectiveness of their overall consumer channel strategy in EMEA.

Farouk Hemraj, CEO and co-founder at DISTREE Events, said: "These are channel awards that have real significance and recognise true consumer channel excellence in the EMEA region. We congratulate all of the vendor winners and all of the brands that received official nominations."

The awards, which took place for the sixth year in a row, were saw a total of 46 different technology and consumer electronics (CE) vendors received official nominations across 12 product categories.
