One course includes training on how to design, deploy, operate and assess a secure mobile environment

SANS Institute has announced that it is bringing three IT security training courses to Abu Dhabi later this year, beginning on April 26 at the Hilton International hotel.

SANS Abu Dhabi 2014, as the organisation is calling the set of courses, will run for six days and focus on cyber-security training, SANS said in a statement.

The first course on offer is SANS's FOR572: Advanced Network Forensics and Analysis. According to SANS, the course covers critical skills needed to mount efficient and effective post-incident investigations.

The second course, SEC575: Mobile Device Security and Ethical Hacking, is described as "relatively new" by the SANS Institute. It includes training on how to design, deploy, operate and assess a secure mobile environment, SANS said, adding that the course includes insight on the BlackBerry 10, iOS 7 and Android 4.3 operating systems.

The final course on offer in Abu Dhabi will be MGT433: Securing the Human. SANS said that the course focuses on the fact that organisations invest heavily into securing technology, but do little to secure the human element of an infrastructure. The course covers how to build awareness and education programmes beyond simple compliance.

SANS added that it would offer discounts to students that register and pay before March 5. More information can be found on the SANS Abu Dhabi 2014 website.
