Logicom joins Global Technology Distribution Council
Distributor to help promote GTDC to new vendors in the region
Logicom, a regional distributor has announced it has joined the Global Technology Distribution Council (GTDC).
The GTDC is an industry consortium representing the world's leading technology distributors. Its members drive more than $130bn in annual worldwide sales of technology products, services and solutions through a range of dynamic business channels.
According to the company, Logicom was selected as one of the leading and fastest-growing distributors in the world and aims to add to the strength of the GTDC, helping the organisation to communicate the value of distribution to both the vendor and investor communities.
Logicom said its strong presence in the Eastern Mediterranean, Gulf, broader Middle East and North Africa will especially help to communicate the GTDC's message to new vendors in the region and provide more visibility for the regional channel.
"Logicom is a leading distributor in our region and always aspires to adopt the best global practices and deliver excellence in technology distribution," said Logicom's managing director, Varnavas Irinarchos. "This association provides the platform for the transfer of best practices and therefore we are most excited to be part of the GTDC."
"Technology distributors continue to strengthen and grow their role at the center of the global products and services supply chain," remarked Tim Curran, CEO at GTDC. "The addition of Logicom as a GTDC member further expands our presence in yet another strategic market. We look forward to their unique insights and contributions to the overall industry's success."
Members of the GTDC benefit from being at the forefront of industry issues, opportunities and innovations. They frequently participate in GTDC conferences, initiatives and activities that also periodically enable interaction between the companies' senior management. In addition, the GTDC helps its members to strengthen their partnerships with dynamic business channels, whilst adhering to the GTDC Partner Code of Conduct.
