Red Hat to host open source showcase in Riyadh
Red Hat Day 2013 to promote benefits of open source solutions to businesses
Open source software vendor Red Hat is set to host its Red Hat Day 2013 event in Riyadh on Wednesday 4th December.
The end user event is intended to show IT decision makers how they can use open source technologies for business and IT transformation.
The one day event, which will be held at the Riyadh Marriott Hotel in Saudi Arabia, will include sessions on IT and business transformation; managing cloud with Red Hat CloudForms; next generation application development; moving to an open business platform using Red Hat JBoss Middleware and migrating mission-critical applications to a standards based infrastructure.
Michel Isnard, vice president, Southern Europe, Middle East and Africa at Red Hat commented: "It is widely understood that in today's economy, the companies that win will be companies which better understand their customers, connect with their customers in ways they like to communicate, and which can provide new products and services quickly, to discover new needs faster and at a lower cost. Red Hat Day is a perfect forum to show regional businesses the power that open source can offer to their strategic plans and objectives. It also offers an opportunity for them to learn, network, experience and discuss the innovative technologies and best practices that other global organisations are applying to drive innovation and transform their businesses."
