Aruba signs MoU with Aramex
Partnership will cover use of Aruba solutions at global Aramex sites
Network access solutions provider Aruba Networks International today announced it has signed a one-year memorandum of understanding (MoU) with logistics company Aramex with the objective of promoting "widespread global use of information technology and communication".
The partnership will see Aramex make use of Aruba's solutions, covering WLAN technology, network access control, BYOD (bring your own device) solutions and network management systems.
The memorandum outlines the complete coverage of Aruba Networks wireless connectivity across all Aramex locations globally, according to Aruba.
"It is with great excitement that we announce this memorandum of understanding with Aramex," said Ammar Enaya, general manager, Middle East, Aruba Networks.
"Global companies are constantly searching for reliable wireless network access to support a broad variety of mobility requirements. Logistics management, guest services, and bring-your-own-device initiatives are just an example of the areas of collaboration between Aruba Networks and Aramex."
In addition to its Wireless LAN, ClearPass and Airwave portfolios, Aruba Networks will provide Aramex with ArubaCare and PartnerCare support.
"In recent years, Aramex has branched out its e-commerce services to growth markets around the world and enhanced its infrastructure considerably," said Samer Awajan, chief technology officer, Aramex.
"In order to support our innovative customer-focused growth strategies, it is critical to have reliable and secure connectivity. Previously, wireless was only used as an add-on, with no guest access or security policies. With Aruba Networks solutions we will be able to use wireless connectivity 24-7 and keep enhancing our productivity and efficiency."
