As excitememt reaches fever pitch, CommsMEA reveals the shortlisted nominations

The CommsMEA Awards 2013 will take place on 4 December at Jumeirah Emirates Towers, Dubai.

CommsMEA has revealed the companies and individuals shortlisted for the CommsMEA Awards 2013.

The final winners will be announced at the awards ceremony in front of 200-plus leading lights from the MEA region's telecoms sector during a gala dinner at Jumeirah Emirates Towers on 4 December.

Executives, including telecoms CEOs, vendors, ministers and regulators, are set to attend the eighth edition of event, which celebrates success and innovation in the telecoms sector.

This year, there are 15 awards with categories covering operators, vendors, regulators and application providers.

The awards have been judged by six industry experts: Mark Kremers, partner, Oliver Wyman; Milan Sallaba, managing director at Accenture Middle East; Akshay Lamba, chief architect and head of IT strategy at MTS Indian operations; Alan Horne, CEO, Broadband Pioneer and special advisor to Global eHealth Foundation; Erik Almqvist, partner and global head of operational consulting, Analysys Mason, and Riad Hartani, partner, Xona.
