SAEI to get connected with Yammer
Saudia Aerospace Engineering Industries to adopt Microsoft social platform
Saudia Aerospace Engineering Industries (SAEI) has selected Microsoft's Yammer Social Network Solution to create a private social network to connect its employees for business.
The company, which provides aircraft, component and jet engine maintenance through all Saudi domestic and 26 international airports, will connect its employees to the network to enable interactive collaboration and communication.
Nader Khalawi, managing director SAEI, stated: "The introduction of Yammer is part of the major cultural change taking place in SAEI giving employees direct access to each other and especially to their management using the Enterprise Social Solution that also offers the ability to share content on other social networks."
SAEI has over 5,000 employees, and the new platform will enable collaboration and sharing of key information through social channels, video, Skype and Yammer.
Samir Noman, president of Microsoft Arabia, said: "We are very pleased that SAEI has chosen Yammer to enhance its internal communications capabilities. Yammer helps companies stay on top of it all and go further faster by getting connected to the right people, share information across teams and organize around projects. Once Yammer is operational, SAEI employees will be able to tap into their company's private social network to stay connected with coworkers, get feedback from their team, find exactly what they need and discover things they didn't know, helping them to quickly make decisions, get work done and keep moving.
"Yammer evolves with you, so your company can keep up with whatever comes next. The result is an engaging, easy-to-use product that meets your business needs and helps to increase productivity. Furthermore, Yammer understands that security is your priority. It is ours, too. That's why we use advanced security technology to provide privacy and help protect your users and company data," he added.
