Etisalat Nigeria appoints acting CEO
Appointment follows resignation of Steven Evans in September
Etisalat Nigeria has appointed Matthew Willsher as acting CEO following the departure of former chief executive, Steven Evans, in September.
Evans resigned as CEO in September and returned to the UK after completing almost five years in the charge of the company, according to a report from Bloomberg.
Willsher, who is chief commercial officer at Etisalat, was appointed as acting CEO of Etisalat Nigeria, according to Chineze Amanfo, a Lagos-based spokeswoman for Etisalat Nigeria, Bloomberg reported.
Etisalat Nigeria, which launched in October 2008, covers all 36 states of Nigeria and more than 75% of the population. It had over 15m active subscribers by August 2013.
