EMC, Computerlinks honour partners

STS, MDS take prizes at breakfast briefing

EMC and Computerlinks invited partners to a breakfast at the Fairmont Hotel during GITEX Technology Week 2013 to acknowledge their two top-performing partners within the Middle East Region.

Attending the briefing, Stefan Links, CEO of Computerlinks, addressed the partners thanking them for their continued support. Mohammad Amin, senior vice president, Turkey, Africa and the Middle East for EMC was also present to address the audience.

After the keynote speeches, Kieran Hernon, Business unit director, EMC for Computerlinks announced the winners and presented them with an award and a gift.

The award for highest growth partner was presented to Mideast Data Systems (MDS) Oman. Said Al-Mandhari, deputy general manager of MDS accepted the award.

"We've worked hard to reach this stage and we've shown great commitment to reach this level of growth; we're feeling great today because we're being recognised," said Al-Mandhari.

Jordan-based STS won the award for best incremental partner, for securing the largest number of new EMC customers and expanding its customer base across the region.

Ajman Mazahreh, co-founder and CEO of STS accepted the award on behalf of the company, saying, "I love that we've been awarded for incremental growth. We're spreading our base, which means ongoing business. Customers who have begun a relationship with us can come back in a year and get upgrades."

He also said that he "foresees a bright year ahead for EMC and STS.
