E-POS proves the power of POS
Epos is highlighting the latest systems to improve processes and customer care
Epos is highlighting the latest systems to improve processes and customer care at GITEX Technology Week.
The company, which specialises in systems such as point of sale (POS) identification, security and banking solutions, is presenting the latest solutions from its own range of OEM hardware and from its partners including Star Micronics and Honeywell. Rolly Martins, IT Head and Product Development Manager, says that the point of sale market is highly competitive, so E-POS strives to stand out from other vendors through offering more innovative solutions such as all-in-one solutions with integrated printers, touchscreen monitors and so on.
One example of this project innovation on display on the stand is the AsuraPRNT from Star Micronics, a standalone terminal, which is just 15 inches tall, but includes all the capabilities and more of full size kiosks. The terminal includes a seven inch touch-screen mounted on top, and a high speed three inch integrated printer.
The AsuraPRNT runs the Android operating system, so developers can easily create their own applications, meaning that it can be used in a wide range deployments such as such as queue management, loyalty programs, tracking inventory and self service.
