Regional value-added distributor Comguard is using this year’s GITEX TECHNOLOGY WEEK to strengthen its channel network by adding new resellers from various countries across the Middle East region.

The move comes as the specialist security solutions VAD looks to increase the market share of all the  vendor brands it represents the region.

Ajay Singh Chauhan, CEO, Comguard says: “This year we are looking forward to reinforcing our channel base by consolidating the existing channel base and acquiring new channel partners from across the region.”

Chauhan says apart from partner recruitment, Comguard is also showcasing its solutions offerings in partnership with the various vendors it has in its stable. “In the Middle East, customers are no longer keen to order only boxes, software or hardware,” he says. “Customers are looking for turnkey solutions and at Comguard, we are encouraging our channel partners to embrace value-add selling, pre- and post-sales support and empowering them to offer complete solutions comprising products, services and training.”

He says that is why the company has decided to move to new, bigger and well-equipped office premises. “The new offices house more training facilities with state of art equipment that will allow us to offer sales, pre-sales, proof of concepts (POCs) to partner and their clients,” he says.

Chauhan says GITEX has been an ideal event for Comguard to promote its products, increase brand awareness of the vendor partners’ solutions, launch new products and solutions, and sign new alliances.
