Duroosi will deliver online tutorials for grade 11 & 12 students.

Etisalat, in partnership with the UAE Ministry of Education and Google, has launched a new tutorial video service, which will give students of grade 11 and 12 the tools to drive self-learning across a wide range of subjects.

The Duroosi tutorial videos, are an initiative by Ayaadi Etisalat, the CSR arm of the telecom major. Students can log in to a dedicated Duroosi channel to access the tutorial videos for extra lessons offered by expert teachers handpicked by the Ministry of Education. Over 600 videos have been developed so far by Etisalat, which will be hosted on a dedicated YouTube channel.

The tutorial videos were launched by UAE Minister of Education His Excellency Humaid Mohammed Obaid Al Qattami and EtisalatUAE Chief Executive Officer Saleh Al Abdooli, in the presence of senior government representatives and Etisalat personnel. UAE Minister of Education HE Humaid Mohammed Obaid Al Qatami says: “Smart education is a key priority for the government and advanced infrastructure will play a critical role in the achievement of this mission. Such strategic partnerships and unique talent development tools are critical for establishing a knowledge-based, sustainable UAE in the near future.”

Saleh Al Abdooli, CEO, Etisalat UAE, adds: “Harnessing the latest technology for education is an innovative approach towards knowledge building in the UAE. Duroosi will revolutionise conventional education tools by providing instant and convenient options of learning. Students with access to technology nowadays want information at their fingertips. The project is also unique in that it allowed us to unite government and private players for a cause of national importance. The support of the MoE was crucial to the success of this project.”
