Oracle reveals new technologies
Data giant to demo technologies unveiled at Openworld forum
Oracle is this week showcasing some of the new technologies and solutions announced at Oracle Openworld last month. There will, therefore, be a clear focus on applications in the cloud, big data solutions, business analytics and intelligence.
Customers will also see the company’s new engineered appliances, including the latest database appliance, and Exalytics with data analytics and data management. Oracle will also make a number of announcements of new products.
“Customers in the region are focusing particularly on software delivered as a service, software delivered in the cloud, and engineered systems where software is tightly integrated with hardware,” says Dana Murugan, Senior Marketing Director, Oracle MEA.
“They are looking for the distinct benefits offered by these solutions which includes movement of IT costs from a capital expenditure to operating expenditure, fast implementation, greatly reduced maintenance and upgrade fees, and significant benefits and innovation that real-time and near realtime applications deliver to their business. Enhanced security, too, is a consideration for customers.”
Oracle traditionally books the largest space of any single exhibitor at GITEX, using its stand as a vehicle to showcase its developer partners. This week, there are around 40 partners showcasing their industry and technology expertise on the Oracle platform.
Oracle will also host a C-level conference, which will be addressed by Oracle’s senior corporate executives on the latest cloud, social media, big data and mobile technologies.
Oracle will also host seminars daily and there will be ‘ask the expert’ sessions with Oracle product and industry gurus.
