Riverbed to showcase performance offerings
Network solutions provider to exhibit Granite, Stingray
Network solutions provider Riverbed will be showcasing a wide range of its performance solutions at GITEX TECHNOLOGY WEEK 2013, with a focus on key products and solutions, such as Granite and Stingray.
Granite is designed to simplify storage data using a centralised data centre. All stored materials are logged and available for review by management at any time and the system works to homogenise functionality and access, and avoid degradation when the WAN is weak or spread across vast distances.
Stingray allows customers to deploy an application delivery controller (ADC) solution with Web content optimisation (WCO) and Web application firewall (WAF) security capabilities. It takes care of local and global load balancing; controls and optimises end-user services by differentiating and prioritising application traffic; proactively detects and blocks attacks at the application layer; reduces browser round-trips to cut SharePoint load times by 33% to 75% (according to figures provided by Riverbed); and is also said to provide up to 50% cost savings by right-sizing ADC services and on-demand scaling.
"GITEX Technology Week is the most important event for the IT and Technology industry in the Middle East," said Taj El-Khayat, general manager, MENA.
"Our previous accomplishments at GITEX highlight that this event is a great way to reach out and interact with our partners, potential customers [and] individual experts. GITEX works as a platform to spotlight recent business successes, new products and software, and it is where many companies establish themselves as leaders in their particular field."
