Oracle will use GITEX TECHNOLOGY WEEK as an opportunity to showcase the new technologies announced at Oracle Openworld in September. Specific focus will be on applications in the cloud, big data solutions, business analytics and intelligence.

Customers will also see the new hardware appliances, including the latest database appliance, and Exalytics with data analytics and data management. Oracle will also make a number of announcements of new products.

“Customers in the region are focusing particularly on software delivered as a service, software delivered in the cloud, and engineered systems where software is tightly integrated with hardware,” says Dana Murugan, Senior Marketing Director, Oracle MEA. “They are looking for the distinct benefits offered by these solutions, which includes movement of IT costs from  capital expenditure to operating expenditure, fast implementation, greatly reduced maintenance  and upgrade fees, and significant benefits and innovation that real-time and near real-time applications deliver to their business. Enhanced security, too, is a consideration for customers.”

Oracle traditionally books the largest space of any single exhibitor at GITEX, using its stand as a vehicle to showcase its developer partners. This year, there are set to be 40 partners showcasing their industry and technology expertise on the Oracle platform.

Oracle will host a C-level conference, which will be addressed by Oracle’s senior executives on the latest cloud, social media, big data and mobile technologies. Oracle will also host seminars daily and there will be ‘ask the expert’ sessions with Oracle’s gurus.
