Nakilat improves access control with ManageEngine
Qatar Gas Transport Company rolls out ManageEngine identity and access management solutions
The Qatar Gas Transport Company (Nakilat) has deployed a set of Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions from ManageEngine, to improve security and management of employees.
Nakilat, which operates and manages LNG vessels and associated marine services, has selected ManageEngine's ADManager Plus, which will help the company to easily apply role-based access to network resources, based on Active Directory. The Active Directory (AD) network auditing and monitoring provides immediate visibility and reporting into crucial AD changes.
"ManageEngine's ADManager Plus has helped define and implement role based access to network resources. It redefines delegation and organises the working environment for better efficiencies. Moreover it has removed the security loop holes in the Windows AD network. We can now empower the helpdesk for handling requests. Additionally ADManager Plus also helps simplify routine AD management operations such as bulk user provisioning, AD reporting, AD cleanups all it takes is just a few clicks," said Ragid Kader, Team Lead, IT services, Nakilat.
"Above all we could also ensure to monitor and audit every single change in AD with ManageEngine's ADAudit Plus. The product maintains a log of all actions that take place along with the whens and wheres. This facilitates for a root-cause analysis whenever a problem occurred in AD," Kader added.
"The challenge in deploying the IAM solutions for Nakilat was to implement a solution that would facilitate the IT service team to manage and support resources not only for huge number of requests from an extremely large employee base, but more importantly to tackle the sensitive and technically complex environment of the organisation. Our AD suite of products has been able to make a remarkable change in productivity," said Manikandan Thangaraj, director of Product Management at ManageEngine.
ADSolutions helps automate repetitive IAM operations such as user provisioning and de-provisioning. It also offers a workflow with review-approve frame work to keep control over automation of crucial tasks. The pre-packaged reports enhance the user access management capabilities, and for those organisations that need insight into exchange traffic data there is an exclusive section of reports based on OWA usage, email traffic, mailbox size and permissions.
