EMT Distribution to set up ME operations

Value-added distributor EMT Distribution has announced that it is setting up operations in the Middle East region.

The company has started to recruit sales and technical professionals to give further impetus to its business plans for the region.

EMT has distribution rights to a range of IT security products and solutions, and has presence in Australia, Austria, Hong Kong, Philippines, Singapore and UK.

The company says as it has strong alliances with several vendors in Europe and South East Asia and it plans to enhance its presence in the Middle East market.

Shane Mahney, general manager, EMT Distribution, said: "The Middle East is one of the fastest growing regions in the world. With thriving industries like the oil and gas, aviation, hospitality, banking, services and telecoms, we believe this is the right time for us to establish operations and expand our channel base across the Middle East."

Mahney said the company is not only acquiring new vendor distribution rights, but is also looking forward to working with new channel partners in Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, Jordan and Kuwait.
