Consumer electronics retailer CompuMe, has launched a new e-commerce site LetsTango.com, a move it says will revolutionise online shopping in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.

According to CompuMe's founder and CEO, Dikran Tchablakian, LetsTango.com has been created to bring the essence, harmony and grace to online shopping with the idea that the company can be with customers in every step of the way by giving them a revolutionary shopping experience.

Tchablakian said LetsTango.com introduces all-new concepts and features including live, instantaneous shopping assistance, free delivery and 30-day returns in a fully "gamified" experience. "Exactly 15 years ago, I launched CompuME in the Middle East, an initiative that significantly transformed the shopping experience from Souq retail into organised retail in the technology space in the region. Fifteen years on, I am proud to launch LetsTango.com, an initiative that aims to keep that transformation in the industry and set new standards in checking customer buying habits and patterns," he said.

Tchablakian said during the 15 years that CompuMe has been in existence, the UAE and Middle East has gone through several changes bringing about a positive makeover to the region's economy and individuals' personal lifestyles. "The rapid change in demography, coupled with coverage of technology and devices has brought positive change in the way we do business, communicate and consume information," he said.

"In keeping pace with the rapid changes of customers' demands, we have come to the realisation that we wanted to lead the transformation in providing the right customer engagement."

Tchablakian noted that the global e-commerce business crossed the $1trn mark in 2012 with a projected growth rate of 18%. "This year, analysts are projecting that the global e-commerce business will reach $1.3trn. The Middle East from now on will start to witness growth with the UAE as the role model," he remarked.

He explained that the global changes are offering a harmonious buyer-seller atmosphere and that should be LetsTango.com's broad priority in meeting the aspirations of customers with new generation buying habits. "We take pride in giving our customers a safe, secure and user friendly buying experience when they can go and look for all their needs in just one click. Fifteen years of innovation, transformation, interacting and servicing consumers, and understanding the market has pushed us to provide the same piece of mind with the new online shopping venture," he said.

Tchablakian said keeping in mind the customers convenience, LetsTango.com shall have dedicated multiple, easy to access locations where shoppers can pick up the ordered items enabling them to interact directly with service staff. "We are keen on expanding the Website in the GCC and the entire MENA region," he said.
