Du customers may experience performance issues in data transmission during Sunday and Monday.

The UAE's number-two telecommunications operator, du, has warned its Internet customers they may experience slower connections on Sunday and Monday as it carries out maintenance on the network.

The maintenance is being performed by two submarine telecommunications cable system operators, the company said in a post on social media site Twitter.

"We've made provisions to re-route broadband traffic, but some of our customers may face temporary slowness in uploading or downloading data," another Tweet says.

One of the maintenance projects will take place on Sunday between 4.30am and 4.30pm, while the second will be between 9am Sunday and 9am Monday.
