Comguard, GFI to enhance partner training
Mobasseri says Comguard has seen a steady increase in sales of GFI products.

Dubai-based security solutions VAD Comguard, has revealed that it is beefing up its training programmes around the GFI product portfolio in the Middle East, a move it says will help reseller partners increase the vendor's share in the region.

The plan, which is part of Comguard's broader channel training scheme for this year, aims to empower channel partners that want to strengthen their security offerings by selling GFI's Web Monitor, Mail Archiver and LAN Guard.

Mohammad Mobasseri, senior vice president at Comguard, said over the past 12 months, the company has seen a steady increase in sales for GFI's security products especially in the SMB sector.

Mobasseri said part of this approach and strategy has centred on helping partners to receive Level 300 and 400 training certification programmes. "The two advanced security certification programmes have already been running in the region. Through this initiative, we are engaging with resellers across the region to ensure that they get certified," he said.

Mobasseri explained that most of the partners in the Middle East have shown interest in the Level 400 certification programme. "We will be rolling out this initiative in Kuwait and Jordan this quarter," he said. "We have taken heed of our partners' request and will be taking the advanced security certification programmes to ensure that resellers across the region are properly equipped to sell and implement GFI's products in the market."

Mobasseri said in addition to boosting the training schemes, Comguard is also developing initiatives that will see it provider cloud-based solutions that channel partners can take to market. "We want to continue attracting reseller partners that share the same vision that GFI and Comguard have for the Middle East IT security landscape." "All these initiatives are part of a wider push to enable partners to develop expertise through a solutions approach to reselling GFI's product array."

He said Comguard is also looking at significantly increasing its investment in lead generation programmes. "Our partners will see a lot of enhancements in this initiative as we want to grow the share of GFI's products in SMB space," he said.

Mobasseri said Comguard will continue to emphasise the importance of training, certification and partner specialisations across the entire product range within its stable.
