Nokia offers first glimpse of Lumia 928
New flagship handset showcased on teaser website
Nokia today launched a teaser website that showed a teaser image of its forthcoming flagship handset.
While the site confirms only that that the device will be in the Lumia range and that it will continue to carry the Windows Phone OS, but the site address, "www.nokia.com/us-en/lumia928" and image name "NUSA-CP-Lumia-928-Hero-v2-jpg" suggests the device is indeed the 928.
No details are given of features, but tech site ZDNET reported that a full-page ad in Vanity Fair promised the PureView and optical image stabilisation tech seen in the 920 as well as a Carl Zeiss lens. The ad also stresses the low-light optimisation of the image-capture capabilities associated with Nokia's previous Lumia product cycle.
Media reports claim the 928 will be lighter and slimmer than the 920 and will feature a 4.5-inch OLED display rather than an LCD.
