Du signs knowledge, research MoU with Huawei
Move expected to bolster project management practices
Dubai-based operator du yesterday announced the signing of a new memorandum of understanding with China-based telecoms equipment manufacturer Huawei.
The new partnership will see the two companies co-operate in several fields related to project management, including knowledge transfer and research.
The MoU was signed recently at du's headquarters in Dubai, by Ananda Bose, chief corporate affairs officer, du, and Wang Haitun, GTS PMO director, Huawei.
Through the MoU, du and Huawei will work together to exchange best practice industry methodology and develop future techniques, service portfolios and operating models.
"By signing this agreement with Huawei, we are fulfilling our commitment to the pursuit of best practices in all that we do," said Bose.
"Huawei is a global leader and we are proud to be entering knowledge exchange and research collaboration with them in order to promote and encourage best practice within our company and in the UAE."
"We are pleased to be collaborating with du for this knowledge exchange and research," said Haitun.
"It will facilitate a stronger relationship between our two companies as we work together to develop best practices that will be implemented in our respective project management offices for the benefit of the telecommunications industry."
