OMA Emirates launches managed services
Custom-made options for banks enable centralised card issuance
Payment industry solutions provider OMA Emirates has announced an end-to-end service that provides banks an onsite team to manage centralised issuance of EMV cards.
"The new service includes the supply and maintenance of cards, personalisation systems, manpower and ongoing developments with no ownership costs that will have a positive impact on cost efficiency and smoother card production for banks," said OMA Emirates.
As part of the service OMA Emirates will commit a team to support daily operations as well as guide the banks towards planning for future requirements. Complying with strict EMV security and design standards, the new service is bespoke, to enable banks to have full control of card issuance operations.
"There is an international trend by small, medium and large financial and banking institutions to move away from bureau services and work towards outsourcing in-premise managed services for centralised card issuance," said Niranj Sangal, Group CEO, OMA Emirates - Solution Gulf.
"OMA Emirates along with world-class vendor partners and our proficiency in developing specialised Centralised Issuance Software, is capable of meeting the industry's specific requirements. Our team is geared to meet the changing requirements and equipped to tackle total smart card production."
The hardware provided by OMA Emirates is said to be capable of processing approximately 700 to 1000 cards an hour and specific to the bank's card issuance volume needs. Developed in-house, the company's NANOPERSO personalisation solution, which supports batch printing and encoding, is expected to optimise the bank's card production process. Simultaneously the new system enables card embossing, indenting, encoding labels, card mailing and smart chips for both contact and contactless cards.
