RSA to host first security summit in Qatar
Event to highlight new solution for real-time response and mitigation
RSA, the Security Division of EMC, today announced that it will host its first RSA Summit in the Qatar at the Grand Hyatt, Doha on 18 March.
The summit is expected to bring together over 100 senior decision makers and IT security professionals from across the nation to share best practices and discuss the latest developments in the regional cyber security landscape.
Themed the ‘Foundation of IT Trust', RSA has decided the event will focus on the perceived need for emergent security practices in the face of advanced, targeted cyber-attacks.
The pervasive use of the Internet for everything from online banking to social networking together with the emergence of mobility practices across the region has resulted in heightened concern among enterprise decision-makers that networks and sensitive data are becoming vulnerable to a new breed of cyber criminals and ‘hacktivists'.
In the wake of last summer's series of cyber attacks, security companies have made a renewed effort to ensure that establishing comprehensive security infrastructure climbs the MEA CIO's agenda.
At the Doha summit, RSA experts will introduce the audience to recently released RSA Security Analytics a big data-based security monitoring and investigative solution designed to help organisations defend digital assets by focusing on the detection and response phases of the cyber attack cycle.
In addition, the summit will see specialists from RSA address other security technologies and reiterate the need for "intelligent, proactive security practices".
As part of the RSA Summit, a series of nine break-out sessions within three class tracks will cover various topics, including online financial fraud mitigation; incident response and breach readiness; and data protection, risk and security management. The event will also discuss how organisations can best meet governance, risk and compliance requirements.
