StorIT to offer turnkey SME data centre bundles
Pre-built infrastructures built on EMC’s VSPEX architecture
MENA data storage VAD StorIT today announced it has introduced pre-built data centre solution bundles optimised for resellers and systems integrators selling into small and medium businesses with limited IT infrastructure expertise.
The bundles are built on EMC's VSPEX architecture and configured by StorIT using a range of technologies from areas such as enterprise applications, virtualisation hypervisors, servers, storage, and networking.
"To build a data centre, organisations can either acquire all the components of a data centre such as servers, storage, networking and other applications from different vendors and try to put it together themselves or they can buy one complete tested and certified assembled solution of fixed configuration that is easy to deploy and simple to use," said Ranjith Kaippada, product sales specialist, StorIT Distribution.

EMC VSPEX is a flexible architecture solution that allows rapid deployment of virtualised infrastructures. It is built on EMC unified storage and next-generation backup architecture designed for simple management, and improved IT efficiency. VSPEX's modular design enables customers to specify their choice of server, network and virtualisation technologies within a pre-validated framework.
The data centre management bundles will be available through StorIT's channel network in the Middle East. The data centre solution bundles come with individual warranties from each vendor. Apart from offering pre-built solutions that include EMC storage solutions, StorIT pledged to support channel partners by offering consulting services and implementation support.
