Kaspersky Lab launches unified protection platform
Modular structure allows solution scalability across range of businesses
Kaspersky Lab today announced its new flagship corporate security platform, Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Business, at a press conference held at the Jumeriah Beach Hotel in Dubai, UAE.
The launch in the UAE follows the global launch announcement at the company's Cyber Security Summit held in New York, late last month and attended by Howard Schmidt, former cyber-security co-ordinator of the Obama administration; Lawrence Orans, research director, Gartner Inc; and several security representatives of international businesses such as RIM and PayPal.
The launch of Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Business is being hailed as "a significant milestone" by the company as it continues to pursue growth in the regional and global IT security market. The solution comes with a number of new technologies designed to allow IT administrators to see, control, and protect their network.
Available for purchase in specialised bundles for businesses of varying sizes, the suite is intended to form a single, unified platform, created by Kaspersky Lab's engineers from a single code base.
"It delivers protection in a way that other security products cannot," the company said. "Through one platform, one console, and at one cost, IT administrators can see, control and protect all systems and endpoints within the organization's IT infrastructure, whether it's a PC down the hall, a virtual machine in another office, or a missing smartphone across the country."
Further growth in the B2B segment remains one of the key strategic directions of Kaspersky Lab's development. The company plans to intensify its growth in the corporate segment with the new Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Business solution, and grow its customer base in all categories, including enterprises, small and medium-sized businesses and home office clients.
Eugene Kaspersky, CEO and co-founder of Kaspersky Lab, said: "High-profile targeted attacks on enterprises are becoming increasingly widespread. Hundreds of businesses have already been attacked, and more and more companies are realizing the importance of being equipped with the very latest security technologies. Constantly communicating with our clients, getting their feedback and understanding their needs, we have enhanced our products with high-end tools like patch management, vulnerability assessment, and mobile device management. The loyalty of our clients proves that this approach and our technologies are both highly effective!"
