Aptec expands training facilities in Dubai
VAD aims to increase instructor-led training for reseller partners
Aptec, an Ingram Micro company, has opened new training facilities in Dubai, a move the value-added distributor says will enhance its partner training agenda in the Middle East.
The new facilities include two training rooms with total capacity of 30+ students and are all equipped with latest training equipment to provide classroom, instructor-led training to reseller partners across the region.
The company said the extended training facilities will help it to increase the number of courses and total number of students trained in a year.
Until now, Aptec has been providing instructor-led courses, as the VMware Authorised Training Centre (VATC), and on-line courses, as the authorised Cisco Entrepreneur Institute's training partner, through Advanced Technology Services (ATS), a professional services subsidiary within Aptec.
Speaking at the official opening ceremony, Dr Ali Baghdadi, vice president and CEO of Aptec - an Ingram Micro company, said: "We are delighted to open these new facilities. Our new extended training centre does not only mean more classrooms to train our partners, but also demonstrates the vision and strategy of Aptec as a value added distributor. We understand the importance of value-added services, of which partner enablement, training and certification is one of the main elements."
Baghdadi added that the company views partner training and certifications to be of vital importance, which Ingram Micro has demonstrated on a global level and Aptec is highlighting in the local market.
Mario Veljovic, general manager ATS, added: "ATS' educational offerings have seen strong growth and form an integral part of the group's VAD concept. The investment into a bigger training centre supports our future growth ambitions, allows us to widen our offering and gives students a new learning experience in the heart of Dubai's vibrant Internet City."
