Badami: Moving over to Epicor ERP is instrumental to materialising [our] ambitions.

Automotive aftermarket spare parts distributor A-MAP this week announced it will implement Epicor Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) business solutions software.

Dubai-based A-MAP operates a network of branches in Asia, Africa and North America and is rapidly expanding into other markets. California-based Epicor's ERP suite is expected to optimise the business in terms of increased efficiency, reduced workload, opportunities to extract complex analytics, and provide a venue for data warehousing to allow for future data mining.

"As part of its vision for future growth, A-MAP recognises the need for optimising its business, and supporting our vision of best run practices and world-class provision of products and services. We have ambitious strategic plans in terms of expansion in CIS and African regions, and moving over to Epicor ERP from our older system is instrumental to materialising these ambitions and have them come to life," said Asad Badami, managing director, A-MAP.

A-MAP said it was drawn to the flexibility and scalability of Epicor's ERP suite because it offered "robust capabilities focused on reducing costs, streamlining processes, and improving responsiveness across the enterprise - all top priorities toward achieving continued growth and profitability".

"Success in the aftermarket means having the right parts in the right place at the right time, which A-MAP prides itself on. Implementing Epicor ERP will allow us to streamline our business and maximise profitability, responding to the vast challenges of continually increasing sales and distribution, managing channel demands and inventory management," added Badami.
