CA MENA to run ITIL road show
GCC best practice roundtables expected to draw over 500 attendees
Infrastructure management specialist CA MENA today announced it will hold a series of ITIL-related roundtables and executive workshops in March, with over 500 attendees expected in seven cities across the UAE, Kuwait, Qatar, Oman and Saudi Arabia.
The seminars will provide a big picture of the uses for ITIL (information technology infrastructure library) and related best practices. Lessons from history will be presented to show how and why automation can be sensibly deployed to assist in modernisation of infrastructure and operations. The seminars will also cover practices, both good and bad, to help attendees avoid common mistakes.
ITIL specialist and author Brian Johnson from CA Technologies explained, "ITIL has become a global business, though the guidance and methods that are useful have been misinterpreted through lenses that focus on specific issues of technology, or training, or designing a process rather than the reason for the creation of the ITIL framework in the first place, [which is] improving the service provided by infrastructure and operations people to those that consume IT services."
The seminars will also feature the latest version of CA Service Desk Manager, which expands on a rich foundation for IT service management with promised improvements in mobility, visualisation, access, automation and pre-packaged process flows, as well as enhanced administrative efficiency and more effective change management control.
The roadshow will be held on:
- - 3 March - Beach Rotana Abu Dhabi
- - 4 March - Murooj Rotana Dubai
- - 5 March - Marriott Kuwait
- - 6 March - Intercontinental Doha
- - 10 March - Marriott Riyadh
- - 11 March - Intercontinental Jeddah
- - 12 March - Crowne Plaza, Muscat, Oman
