Bank Audi Jordan selects R&M cabling
Cat 6 and fibre optic cabling to connect new head office
Bank Audi Jordan has selected Reichle & De-Massari (R&M) cabling for the infrastructure for its new head office.
The bank will use R&M CAT6, CAT6A and OM3 fibre optic cabling for the new office in Abdali, Amman, along with an R&M global rack, which supports up to 60 CAT6 RJ45 connectors or 120 OM3 fibre optic connections.
The new infrastructure will enable 10 GbE connectivity and enhance security though measures which prevent the unauthorised plugging and unplugging of patch cords from patch panels and faceplates. The bank has undergone a major restructuring process, including widening its network, developing its IT and electronic banking infrastructures, and diversifying its products and services.
Yousef Ensour, general manager of Bank Audi, said: “The opening of the new head office translates the bank's policy of facilitating services for its clients wherever they are, something that stems from the concept of providing services and banking products across larger areas through extensive geographic exposure. Our effectiveness in this endeavor is very much dependent on the technology that drives our business.
“The reason for our strong partnership has been the Swiss quality and performance of R&M's cabling solutions, supported by the top-class service provided by their local office in Jordan. As a financial institution, IT security is a pivotal requirement. Thanks to R&M, we have one of the best and most secure IT infrastructures among Jordanian banks,” he added.
R&M has already provided cabling for the infrastructure at Bank Audi Jordan’s branch offices.
Mohammad Sweidan, area manager at R&M Middle East, Turkey & Africa said, “Being awarded this contract is an opportunity for us to further develop what has already been a successful relationship. Bank Audi's IT team is already well-trained and familiar with R&M products, which is why we have been able to work together so efficiently through the design, planning and implementation phases. We look forward to successfully completing this project and working with Bank Audi in all their future endeavors.”
