Emax has invested AED8 million towards advertisement and promotional activity for DSF 2013.

Power retailer Emax, part of the Landmark Group, has revealed that it expects sales to increase by almost 50% during this year's Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF), which runs from January 3rd to February 3rd, 2013.

At this year's edition of DSF, Emax is showcasing a range of consumer electronics, such as mobile phones and devices, computers, photography equipment, sound and vision products, and relevant accessories, which are bundled with several exciting promotions.

Emax said it has invested over AED8 million ($2.1 million)  towards advertisement and promotional activity during DSF 2013, an increase of 22% from last year's spend.

Neelesh Bhatnagar, CEO Emax commented: "The month-long festival is expected to bring in large number of tourists and we are certainly expecting it to be an extremely busy period in terms of footfall and sales. Infact, DSF has been one key period which has significantly contributed to the growth of our business and we hope to outshine our previous performance this year as well."

Bhatnagar said Emax's presence at DSF is bigger than ever before and the company is committed to presenting compelling promotions to its customers. "Our promotions and rewards have only grown bigger and better year-on-year thus providing an enticing shopping experience to our customers. We have always aimed at adding value and benefiting to a customer's purchase, making Emax as the preferred destination for electronic products," Bhatnagar explained.

The most popular product categories at this year's DSFare expected to be smartphones, LED Panels and cameras.

The DSF is a major economic catalyst for Dubai that witnesses a massive tourist inflow from china, sub-continent and Russian countries.
