Solutions provider Huawei has announced its "biggest presence ever" at this year's GITEX Technology Week, previewing solutions that span across the company's Carrier, Enterprise and Consumer business groups.

Last year's Middle East contract sales for the company saw a year-on-year surge of 20% to $3.2bn. At GITEX the company will be demonstrating a range of services, solutions and products that encompass its "Cloud-Pipe-Device" strategy for evolving into a complete end-to-end ICT solutions provider.

According to Yi Xiang, president of Huawei Middle East, GITEX activity will focus on the nearly 35% global R&D expansion of last year, which concentrated on cloud computing, network security, and handset technologies.

"To adapt to the revolutionary changes that are taking place in the information industry, Huawei has made a number of strategic adjustments to better serve its regional customers through our Cloud-Pipe-Device approach," notes Xiang.

"Laying a strong foundation for sustainable business development, the Middle East is an exciting market for Huawei today as ICT is widely recognised as a key driver for socio-economic development. GITEX itself is a truly unparalleled platform for us to connect with our customers, partners and regulators while demonstrating the breadth and depth of our solutions."

Huawei's Carrier unit will focus on the company's most recent telecom deployments in the fields of 4G LTE and national broadband, while its Enterprise group will exhibit an array of new products and solutions being launched at the show, with specific emphasis on cloud technologies and their reduced carbon footprint.

The company's Consumer business will present a range of smartphones, tablets and mobile WiFi devices for visitors to experience, with Huawei product developers on hand to answer questions. The company has also confirmed it will be revealing at GITEX further details of its upcoming line of quad-core consumer products, which are expected to be launched in the final quarter of this year in select markets across the Middle East.

Huawei's will exhibit from Stand-E13, Za'abeel Hall, in the Gulf Comms area and also from Stand CLD4, Hall 6 in the Cloud area.
