NEC will demo everything from “Safer Cities” solutions to cloud offerings for telcos.

NEC Corporation will showcase its range of SMB and Enterprise solutions at GITEX Technology Week 2012, including unified communications, security and signage.

"Having such a rich line up of products and solutions on show supports our strong message to partners and customers across the region," said Frits Neyndorff, vice president NEC Middle-East & Africa.

"Our presence at Gitex will allow us to open up many new contacts and opportunities and continue conversations with existing and potential business partners to determine growth areas."

Among the unified comms suite will be UNIVERGE Business Connect UCC Employee, an enterprise collaboration tool that supports AV, screen sharing and file sharing across a host of different devices including smartphones and tablets. The company has also announced the release of its G266 and G566 DECT handsets to coincide with Technology Week. Both devices deliver UC functionality.

NEC will address the expanding cloud market by demonstrating its end-to-end data centre, SMB and branch solutions. The chief SMB offering will be FlexVPCC, a desktop virtualised management package. The company will also demo Masterscope Infrastructure Management Software for server farms and NEC's Invariant Analyzer for the evaluation of large stores of server metrics data.

The company also will present some of its "Safer Cities" solutions, based around public health, safety and security deliverables. Technologies include intelligent video surveillance solutions, real-time facial recognition and fingerprint identification technology. The Human Behavior Monitoring Solution automatically uses sophisticated image analysis software to detect security anomalies such as intrusion, loitering and abandoned objects. Features of High Sensitivity Camera and License Plate Recognition technology will also be on show.

For the telecommunications sector, NEC will exhibit cloud platforms designed specifically for telecos that enable delivery of SaaS (Software as a Service), IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service), Paas (Platform as a Service) and VDI (Virtual Desktop Infrastructure).

NEC Display Solutions will be showcasing a new range of products that includes new high-output projectors, LED video wall solutions and next-generation LED backlight large format displays.

Experts from across the company will be on hand to demonstrate and discuss NEC's innovations and solutions optimised for airport, QSR, control room, rental and staging and corporate and conference environments. Complementing NEC Security Solutions will be a video wall for command and control and NOC applications, incorporating the latest full HD direct LED displays.

NEC will demonstrate from stand Z-D20 in Zabeel Hall. Click here for more information on NEC's participation.
