As the contest between Apple and Samsung continues in the smartphone segment, the South Korean electronics giant has launched the Galaxy Note II, a whole new level of innovation for the vendor's Galaxy Note array.

The new Samsung Galaxy Note II enables unique experiences in personalised and expressive content creation, making it the ultimate smartphone for on-the-go creativity, says Samsung.

"Following the success of the first generation of the device, we are very proud to bring the latest Galaxy Note II to the Gulf markets. It is the ultimate device for on-the-go creativity and encourages users to 'unleash their inner creativity.' Its 5.5 inch screen provides a perfect viewing experience while its unique features will enable the users to capture their ideas faster, express thoughts freely, and manage tasks more efficiently," said Ashraf Fawakherji, general manager, Telecommunication Group, Samsung Gulf Electronics. "The Samsung Galaxy Note II is an ideal device for users who want to be creative and expressive on-the-go."

The Samsung Galaxy Note II incorporates exciting features such as: an expansive 5.5" HD Super AMOLED screen, Air View, Popup Note, advanced S Pen, 1.6GHz quad-core processor, Android 4.1, Jelly Bean and a stronger battery life. With these enhancements, Samsung says the Galaxy Note II will help users unleash their inner creativity by letting them discover information faster, capture ideas, and express them in a more organised and efficient manner.

The 5.5 inches HD Super AMOLED screen provides breathtaking visuals and crystal clear detail. Its 16:9 screen ratio ensures an immersive and enriched cinema-like video viewing experience, perfect for watching HD videos on-the-go. Its larger screen allows users to see content clearly and vividly, with much enhanced readability.

While Galaxy Note II features Air View, which allows users to hover with the S Pen over an email, S Planner, image gallery, or video to preview the content without having to open it, the feature enables users to quickly search and see more information in one view without screen transitions.

The 8 megapixel rear-facing and a 1.9 megapixel front-facing camera with HD video recording comes with Buddy Photo Share, Burst Shot and Best Photo features, which were introduced on the Galaxy S III earlier in the year. In addition to that, the Galaxy Note II has a unique camera function called Best Faces, which allows users to choose the most preferred face or pose of each person from group portrait photos.

Samsung Gulf has stated that the Galaxy Note II is currently available in leading retail stores across the UAE for AED 2,699 for the 16GB version. The Galaxy Note II is also available in 32GB and 64GB, and is equipped with an expandable micro SD memory slot for added storage needs.
