Microsoft demonstrates innovations
Demos will include Windows 8 and cloud-ready Office 365
Microsoft will be showcasing its latest technology innovations to GITEX TECHNOLOGY WEEK visitors, including its highly-anticipated Windows 8 operating system.
Windows 8 is a remodelled version of the OS, incorporating a new user interface and comprehensive support for touch screen operation. Users will be treated to demonstrations of the new interface and will have the opportunity to see new devices running the OS in action.
Visitors will also be able to see Office 365, the new, cloud-based version of the Office productivity suite, along with Windows Server 12 and Microsoft Dynamics, the company’s ERP platform. Partner solutions focused on vertical sectors will also be demonstrated.
“This is a great year for Microsoft on all fronts,” says Samer Abu-Ltaif, regional general manager for Microsoft Gulf, referring to phones, tablets and PCs that will soon run Windows 8 or Windows Phone 8.
“We are excited to be showcasing our innovation at GITEX this year and introducing visitors to some of the latest technology in the enterprise.
“We are committed to supporting businesses in the region and helping them improve their productivity through cloud innovation. We are excited to be connecting more consumers to what they love, any time, and on any device. All of the devices are designed to be beautiful and functional, to work for them in their personal life and their professional life.”
