Grand Heritage Doha Hotel & Spa connects with Alcatel-Lucent
Alcatel-Lucent infrastructure providing wireless connectivity throughout hotel
Qatar's Grand Heritage Doha Hotel & Spa has completed the roll out of network infrastructure based on Alcatel-Lucent solutions.
The network includes wireless access points for all guest rooms, PABX and wireless connectivity throughout the hotel.
The company says that around 70% of it operational employees are now using internal wireless communications devices that access the network, saving on mobile phone bills that would otherwise have been used for communications.

We needed a system that was reliable in terms of network performance. Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise has provided us with a cost effective solution, allowing us to maximize our technology budget for other add-ons including IPTV on the same network."
Prasad said that Alcatel-Lucent was selected as the provider based on several factors including consistency and stability of the network, support from the vendor and its local integrator as well as being cost effective.
