Orange Jordan also names new CEO to start on October 1
Nayla Khawam, CEO of Orange Jordan, has resigned, after completing her three-year contract which started in July 2009.
Orange Jordan has appointed Jean-Francois Thomas as its new CEO, effective from October 1 when Khawam's contract ends. Thomas is currently deputy CEO and chief operating officer at Mauritius Telecom.
Khawam will return to France Telecom's headquarters in Paris, where she will work on business development for the group, a source told CommsMEA.
Lebanese-born Khawam took on the role of Orange Jordan CEO in July 2009, replacing Mickael Ghossein. Prior to this, she was the area director for the Paris Region of Orange Jordan's parent company France Telecom, where she looked after commercial and technical departments for mass market and business clients.
