Technical director resigns from STC
The resignation is the latest in a series of high-profile exits.

STC Group, Saudi Arabia's incumbent telco, has accepted the resignation of Dr Ziad Al-Otaibi, group CEO for technical operations.

The resignation follows closely from the resignation of Dr Saad bin Dhafer Al-Qahtani, group CEO for strategic affairs, and Ghassan Hasbani, CEO international.

"The board expressed great appreciation for Dr Al-Otaibi's outstanding efforts throughout his career with STC, which had a clear impact on the group's journey," STC said in a statement.

Dr Al-Otaibi held several leadership positions at STC since joining the company in 1985. He had supervised the establishment and development of various networks, landline and mobile services, in addition to broadband and fibre-optics.

He participated in the management and operation of mobile networks in the Group's subsidiaries in Kuwait, Bahrain, Indonesia and Malaysia.
