Jumbo has a new CEO

Jumbo Electronics has announced the appointment of Vishesh L. Bhatia as its new CEO.
Bhatia joined his new role after retiring from the Al-Futtaim Group, where he held the position of group director, Electronics, Engineering and Technologies. Bhatia has worked in Dubai since 1978 and his new role marks the second time that he has worked with Jumbo, where he served as its COO between 2001 and 2002.
He has also been a past president of The Electronics Group, Dubai, a trade body that represents the interests of the industry. His three decades in the electronics distribution and retail market were also recognised when the award of Indian CEO of the Year 2012 (Electronics) was conferred on him.
Commenting on the new role, he said: "I am indeed honoured to have been invited to lead what is one of the most successful and well-respected electronics trading groups in the Middle East region. I am looking forward to working closely with the shareholders and supervisory board in developing and executing a robust growth strategy for the Jumbo group, while bringing my wide-ranging business experience to drive operational excellence and to position the Jumbo enterprise as an employer of choice."
