EMC to host technology think-tank in Qatar
Storage solutions provider to emphasise cloud solutions and big data
EMC is to host a symposium designed to inspire a rethink among regional businesses about the way they use technology, the company announced today. Cloud solutions, virtualisation and large-volume data storage are to be the focal themes of the EMC Forum 2012, to be held on September 12 at the Ritz Carlton in Doha, Qatar.
The event is expected to emphasise the business benefits of the cloud and big data models while encouraging input from IT professionals on how they see the future of technology usage in business. The forum is part of a series taking place in 33 countries across the EMEA region including Saudi Arabia, Morocco and Turkey.
"The cloud and big data are the two most important trends in business technology today. At the EMC Forums this year, we will provide guidance and inspiration to businesses in EMEA looking to transform their operations through these services," said Mohammad Amin, senior vice president and regional manager, EMC Turkey, Emerging Africa and Middle East Region and Europe East Region. "In addition to providing an excellent educational platform, the forums represent a superb opportunity for delegates to network with industry peers and leading technology experts across EMEA."
Delegates can register to attend the forums for free at http://middle-east.emc.com/sites/emcforum/2012/qatar.htm.
