UAE telco du has warned that its BlackBerry service may suffer some disruptions during maintenance on 2nd September.

The company said that routine maintenance could possibly impact services, including preventing users from sending or receiving messages on BlackBerry devices, for up to an hour between 4am and 9am on Sunday.

du said in a statement: "In the interest of our customers, we would like to proactively make our customers aware that, as part of a RIM's regular service maintenance schedule, our BlackBerry services will be impacted for a maximum of one hour on 2 September, between 4:00 am-9:00 am. During this time, customers may experience difficulty in using all BlackBerry services including sending and receiving messages; viewing email attachments; activating an email service and the request to ‘see more' in an email. We regret the inconvenience and assure our customers that we endeavour to continuously provide them with the best service."
