Batelco unveils entertainment portal
The new entertainment portal is available to all internet users in Bahrain

Bahrain's incumbent operator, Batelco, has launched an entertainment service, Batelco Play, for internet users in the country.

The service is available to all internet users with a connection starting from 256Kbps, regardless of which ISP they are subscribe to.

The service can be accessed through all devices, from smart phones to PCs and Batelco is offering one month free access to anyone who registers by August 31, 2012.

The service includes a video library with more than 200 well known international and Arabic movies and of programmes from several leading TV channels. It also includes a wide selection of the latest movies on a pay-per-view basis, starting from 800 fils, Batelco said.

Batelco's existing customers can register online via Batelco www.e-Services.com.bh and anyone can apply by visiting a Batelco retail outlet.

In addition to 200 movies/series and TV content, Batelco Play also includes a wide selection of the latest movies on a pay-per-view basis starting from 800 fils only.

As all the programme content of the exciting new service is hosted locally, it will use very little download threshold while the viewing quality is excellent with no buffering problems.

Rashid Abdulla, CEO, Batelco Bahrain, said that the video library would be expanded later in the year.
