Pure Stream allows users to stream content direct to Pure wireless audio devices.

Wireless audio specialist Pure has announced the launch of its Pure Stream application for the UAE.

Pure Stream allows users to wirelessly stream any type of content from Android smartphones and iOS devices to Pure music systems. The application is available through the free Pure Lounge app for Android or iPhone.

The application is based on Digital Living Network Alliance (DLNA) technology, that allows multi-branded digital products to interoperate and share digital content.

Colin Crawford, Pure's director of marketing, commented: "Some day we'll wonder why we ever had to physically connect devices. We already have a strong Airplay roadmap for 2012, but Pure Stream delivers similar convenience when playing from a Smartphone to compatible Pure wireless music and radio systems. Pure Stream is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to Pure's vision for the digital home, so expect to see more wireless streaming announcements from us later this year!"
