Bahrain-based solutions provider Mantech has signed a deal with Zircos to develop the market for its mobile asset tracking services in the region.

Zircos offers a range of track and trace solutions, that allow organisations to monitor their vehicle fleets, ‘yellow goods' such as construction machinery, and personnel in real time. The solutions have a range of uses, including time registration, project management, monitoring working hours, unnecessary trips, fuel theft and abuse of vehicles, as well as driver identification and maintenance of yellow equipment.

Mantech will work with Zircos to provide their solutions both in the Kingdom of Bahrain and the wider region.

Hassan Bader Kaiksow, managing director of Mantech said: "We are delighted to be making this announcement today, which will help us to increase the range of services we are able to offer businesses in Bahrain and the GCC. We would like to thank Bahrain EDB for their assistance in making this happen and we look forward to a successful partnership with Zircos."

Georg Szabo managing director, Zircos said: "We are very pleased to be working with Mantech as we look to expand our work in the Gulf region. We are confident that this partnership will help us to increase our exposure to this fast growing region."

The agreement was brokered with the assistance of the Bahrain Economic Development Board.

Kamal bin Ahmed, Minister of Transportation and Acting Chief Executive of the Bahrain Economic Development Board (EDB), said: "We are delighted to have been able to play a role in creating this partnership. The ICT industry in Bahrain is an important part of our drive to create a diversified economy that provides sustainable long term growth and high quality jobs for Bahrainis. This partnership is an excellent example of how these partnerships can not only boost Bahraini ICT firms directly, but also businesses elsewhere in the economy that will benefit from the services offered."
