Etisalat launches Rollover minutes

Etisalat UAE is now allowing its customers of bundled plans to rollover their unused minutes to the following month

Etisalat UAE has launched Rollover minutes, a new offering that allows postpaid customers to keep their unused monthly minutes, allocated from bundled plans, for the following month.

All existing customers subscribed to MyPlan, iPhone plan or any smartphone plan are automatically eligible for this new feature at no extra cost. eg. A MyPlan Ultra bundle allocates a monthly call minute allowance of 500 local minutes. If a user only uses 400 minutes, then the 100 remaining minutes are carried forward to the next month, resulting in a total of 600 minutes.

Matthew Willsher, chief marketing officer at Etisalat, said: "At Etisalat, we understand that our customers' mobile usage is not constant and can vary from month to month. Therefore, we have adapted our postpaid bundles to suit our customers' changing patterns. The new rollover feature is a compelling value-add that brings a lot of flexibility to the bundled plans. Customers can easily check and keep track of their used and rolled over minutes. "

Willsher also highlighted: "Summer is a peak time for travelling abroad in the UAE. We have planned the launch at this time so that our postpaid customers do not lose their unused bundled minutes while they holiday abroad. Upon return, they will be able to conveniently utilize the balance of local and international minutes from the previous month. We are certain that customers will highly value this feature and will be thrilled to see their first rolled over minutes in their July bills."

Any upgrades or downgrades of postpaid packages will also retain the balance of rolled over minutes. At the end of the month, Etisalat's customers will receive a message with the total number of rolled over minutes for the next month. These are also clearly detailed in the customer's bill. Moreover if a customer would like to check their rolled over minutes, all they have to do is dial *170# and follow instructions.
