High performance analytics play an important part in driving big data strategy, says Torr.

Business analytics software provider SAS has been announced as the Gold Sponsor for this year's ACN 100 Forum.

The event, which takes place tomorrow at the Grosvenor House Hotel, Dubai, will bring together IT leaders from across the region, with a focus on pressing IT issues such as cloud computing, big data and bring your own device.

Mark Torr, director of technology, Global Information Management and Analytics Center of Excellence, SAS, will facilitate a workshop at the event, entitled: ‘Transforming the organization with high performance analytics'.

"I am looking forward to facilitating the discussion on the significant role that high performance analytics plays in the move to transform companies and organizations today. During my talk, I will also try to help participants in devising their big data strategy and tell them why it is important to have one. The presentation will explore what needs to be considered as part of a big data landscape and explain why SAS technologies, particularly those that are included in the  high performance analytics suite, can help businesses be one step ahead of the competition," said Torr.

The ACN 100 2012 is organised by ITP, the publishers of this web site.
