Al Abdooli starts work as CEO of Etisalat UAE
Saleh Al Abdooli took over as CEO of Etisalat UAE earlier this week.

Saleh Al Abdooli has started work as CEO of Etisalat UAE, replacing the operation's former acting CEO, Nasser Bin Obood.

Al Abdooli, who served as CEO of Etisalat Misr for five years before moving to Etisalat UAE, said that he plans to raise the productivity and creativity of the telco's employees.

"Etisalat UAE contributes the biggest volume of the group's revenues. I am honoured and excited to come back home to use my experience and expertise to serve my home country and take Etisalat UAE to new levels of performance and growth," Al Abdooli said.

"My priorities at this stage is to boost the creative capabilities of our employees and increase their productivity. Etisalat has all the necessary elements for success - financial resources, human capital and strong, wide network coverage. What is needed now is to channel the corporation's potential in the right direction to help maintain its leadership position."

Etisalat announced that Al Abdooli had been appointed CEO of its UAE operation at the start of February.
