Bank expands hosting with Qtel Data Centre, to support business expansion and systems resilience

Al Khaliji has increased its hosting agreement with Qtel.

Qatar-based Al Khaliji Bank has increased its hosting agreement with the Qatar Telecom (Qtel) Data Centre.

The new contract between Qtel and Al Khaliji will double the presence of the bank's infrastructure within the Qtel Data Centre, to give the bank more IT capacity for its expanding business.

The bank, which has QR 27 billion ($7.4bn) in total assets and QR 12.1 billion ($3.3bn) in customer deposits as of 31st December 2011, will gain extra capacity through the agreement to continue to expand its range of services.

The additional agreement will also give the bank's systems higher levels of resilience and efficiency, providing the group with a fully functional Disaster Recovery site, in addition to increased data storage space in the secure data centre.
